After School Club
After-School Club will restart Monday 12th September.
Monday and Wednesday 4.30pm-6.30pm Term-time only, for children aged 6-12
years.
Only 50p per session
Sidings Community Centre offers a wide range of activities to help enhance
children's fun and play in a
safe and stimulating environment These activities
include:
- Arts and Crafts
- Sports and Exercise
- Indoor and Outdoor Games
- Computer Access
- Homework Support
- Healthy Eating Cookery
- Drama
- Reading Corner
- Trips and outings to places of interest
Aims
Our aim is to provide fun and play which incorporate the Every Child Matters
Agenda: Being Healthy, Staying safe, Achieve Economic well Being, Making a
positive contribution, Enjoy and Achieve.
Being Healthy
Being healthy impacts on a Childs long term and personal life. It also improves
behaviour energy levels, concentration, strength, growth and emotional wellbeing.
Activities include cooking as we promote healthy eating. Children participate
and also learn about food, kitchen hygiene preparation and planning. Indoor
sports and games are available as structured and free play. Children can lead
learn and participate in activities.
Enjoy and Achieve
Activities include art and craft making and junk modelling. We hope children
achieve emotional wellbeing from their achievements.
Staying safe
Children learn about road safety and stranger danger.
Holiday playscheme for 5-12 year olds:
Autumn half-term Monday 24th to Wednesday
26th October 2011
Registration forms will be available from Monday
3rd October.
Deadline for return is no later than Wednesday
12th October.
Users can also download forms from our website.
Holiday Playscheme places are allocated on a first-come-first-served
basis. Our playschemes ore always over-subscribed. Priority will be given to
Camden residents and Sidings After School Club members.
