Summer Term 2010

Sidings Community Centre Programme mostly runs during term times. The Summer Term 2010 Starts on Monday 19th April 2010. Some activities and classes start later than the usual expected start date so check dates and times on the programme below or on the appropriate activity page.

There will be a break during half-term week:
Monday 31st May to Friday 4th June 2010

The term will end on Friday 16th July 2010.

As a Registered Children’s Centre we now offer extended day care for children attending our morning playgroup from 10am up to 4pm (funded by Camden Council). Sessional Creches and drop ins are funded by Childrens' Centre Services Kilburn Priory local programme. Contact Early Years Unit: 020 7624 0588 or email early.years@sidings.org.uk

Sewing & Clothesmaking - East-West traditional and contemporary design. This class is recruiting.

10am - 12pm

Digital Imaging with Photoshop Elements (continued from spring term). Until 24th May.

Microsoft Office 2007 This short course provides an introduction to the interface for some of the main MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Mondays 10am–12pm 2 hours. You will need to register for this course. Starts Monday 7th June. Check the UK Online page for details of this course.

1pm - 3pm

CLAIT - Computing for Beginners, Leading to qualification (with Crèche for Under 5s). UK Online. Recruiting.

1pm–4pm Parenting Course for Fathers & Male Carers: Starts 19th April for 13 weeks.

4.30 - 6.30pm

After School Club for 6-12 year olds. Skills, games, sports and cookery workshops & Computer access for homework and research.

6.30pm – 7:30pm Dodgeball for 11-16 year olds (Run by Safer Neighbourhoods Team)

7.30 - 9.30pm

Youth Club for 11-18s.

7.15 - 9.15pm

Adventure Soft-Room (with inflatable castle) physical activity session for children parents & carers on a drop-in basis. Cost: £1.50 waged, 75p concessions.

1pm - 3pm ESOL (English with Computers) Classes – Up to Entry Level 3. Open to All - UK Online.
4:30–6:30pm Badminton for 12-16 year olds.
4:30-7:00pm Youth Project: Offsite Outreach projects + Onsite special projects and careers advice
